I head the heat shields can be used with the new T1R test-pipe. My pipe should be here tomorrow and I was just curious if the shields are needed or not.

I don't have to pass emissions inspections, so I'm not worried about the shields making it look like the cat is still there.

I am not running a shield and don't see why it would be neccesary?

 

They are not needed. You would put them on if you needed it to appear as if there was a cat there.
