Default tachometer in pillar pod...

You know them big monster tachs? Are there smaller versions that are made (and compatible with the S2000) that fit in pods sized for the A-Pillar? I ask this because I have always been fond of the traditional-style analog-type tachometer (needle+numbers), even though the digital revcounter IS more precise. I just think that once I have an S2000, I may miss that tach needle swinging towards 9000revs (or 8000 for you AP2 guys out there). Has anyone seen or even heard of this type of A-Pillar gauge? Yeah, I'm crazy

Sure, you can find a 2 1/16 tachometer to stuff in an A pillar pod. Finding one that goes to 9k rpm might make it a tougher search, but it's possible. I question the usefulness of such a thing though. For one, it's going to be pretty darn small. On top of that it'll be out of you immediate line of sight. The factory digital tach takes very little adjustment to get used to. Once you get used to it, it's at least as good as an analog tachometer. In my opinion, it's even better since you divert your attention from the road less than an analog counterpart.

Add to the fact that a 9k tach that small couldn't be very accurate. I mean there would only be like 1/8th of an inch between each thousand RPMs (not exactly but you get the point of how useless it would be) Just stick with the factory tach or get a shift light or something.

Check my sig. Not pillar mounted but small digital and a shift light, also no sender required list most tach's and no chips....all digital! I bent the braket and mounted on pillar b/c I did not want to drill the dash.
