Default Taking the top down in the cold

I know that the owner's manual recommends not taking the top down in below freezing conditions. But what about 40 degrees? 35?

I think it would be fun to put the top down in cold weather, dress warmly, and enjoy the sensation of the S2000 flying in the fresh, brisk, winter air. Just like riding a motorcycle.

At what temp. is it alright to put the top down? And at what temp. should one say, "No, it's too cold"?

I take mine down anytime it's not raining or snowing. I don't consider the temperature. I've had the top down in the 20s and teens.

I have a 2002 with the glass rear window. The temperature may have an effect on the plastic rear windows of earlier models.

At what temp. is it all right to put the top down? And at what temp. should one say, "No, it's too cold"?
You live in San Diego and it is July. Where are you going to find some 35 degree weather?

I really don't ride with mine down if the temp is below 50 or 55.

i love taking the top down on cool/breezy nights, its the best feeling. on the other hand, i rarely take the top down when its really sunny. i already have a 'tan' and don't need to get any darker .

In my opinion...you just look stupid with your top down at 45F or less.... people know you are freezing your ass off...even with the heater on full blast you will freeze...unless you bundle up like mad... but then you look even dumber.......

To me that just says "he world, look at me, I have a convertible, and I am dumbe enough to put the top down and freeze just to show you that it is a convertible".
