Team Voodoo magnum knobs and original S logo
The Team Voodoo magnum knobs will be available for sale on our web site at the end of the week. They'll be available in spun titanium, spun aluminum, and pearl aluminum. Each will be $5.00 more than the regular size knob. Al engraving options will be available.
If you have a large hand, the magnum knob may be good for you. Here's some comparative data:
Titanium
Diameter magnum: 2"
Regular: 1.875
Weight magum: 284 grams
Weight regular: 243 grams
The aluminum magnum is the same 2" diameter and weighs 175 grams compared to 150 for the regular.
The neck diamter for all magnum knobs is .875" compared to .75 for the regular.
Also, since we developed the S design used on our badges (and paid a professional designer some sizeable fees and commission for the work), we will be offering it soon as an engraving option on our Team Voodoo knobs. Since others are using this design on products without our permission, and didn't even extend us the courtesy of asking, we thought the least we could do is put it on our own knobs.
BTW, the S design on our badges is currently copyrighted with our attorney's help by the designer who developed it. But that's another story.

Don't get me wrong, I love some of the things Rick and Muz and others make for our cars.
But do they really feel they deserve some kind of "design protection" when hundreds of other enthusiasts help them conceive or refine "their" designs?
If vendors need to compete, compete on availability, manufacturing, distribution, price, quality.
I kind of like the example of owners helping other owners that we have seen so many times around here. I hope that doesn't go away.

I totally agree, this is just a ridiculous thing to be arguing about.
You know what, I've never said squat about this but my idea played a major part in the design of "Rick's" S badges. When he first started taking design submissions for the badges I sent him a drawing showing a badge very similar to the one's you see today. In reality he just used the S font off the side of the car anyway. I never heard so much as a thank you and I could care less.
Muz, you want an idea for something you can sell? Produce an OEM style countersunk knob. I promise you we'll buy it. If you'd like I will help you out with some new graphics.
