Default Tech2 Front Mount

Im trying to get some input on Ait Intake Temps compared to the stock radiator for the after cooler. My intake air temps are around 130 degrees. Will the Tech2 radiator drop the temp?

I doubt the Tech 2 will make your charge cooler, it just raises the level at which you start getting heat soak. So if you drive your car hard and the coolant can't keep up (your AITs start to rise) then a higher capacity radiator is required.

No, heat soak is when the hardware and coolant absorbs more heat than is dissipated.

A result of heat soak might be a high AIT, but it depends whether or not the AIT climbs from a lower temp to 130 over a period of time, or whether it is at 130 from the beginning. If it's the former, then a bigger radiator is required. If it's the latter then it's simply the limits of the system (heat from compression minus cooling from heat exchanger) and changing the radiator won't do diddly.

buckeye1, is this intak temp with your current boost? What was the air temp at the time?

with the boost that you are running, I believe the upgrade will be highly beneficial.
