Dude, you can't even resist modding a little toy like that. Wonder how much faster yours goes now

Glad to know I'm not the only one that thought these looked kewl ...

Here's the tomica bit racer web site (in Japanese) ...

http://www.tomy.co.jp/bitracer/index.htm

I agree that these seem like a great potential for a group buy ... anybody have a source?

I've sent emails to several Tomica dealers (including the ebay sellers) ... will let everyone know what I hear back.

Have fun,
Derek

I bought a Kyosho Mini-Z racer a few weeks back, added working headlights, parking lights, and brake lighs and built a circuit to brighten the brake lights when power is not applied (braking) and dim them when power is applied (not braking). I also added brake caliper grease to the open diff to give it a limited slip effect. It all worked great and was a lot of fun for a few weeks. then a connection on my brake light controller broke. While I was resoldering, I shorted something out and fried the reciever/speed control. I just sent it in for repairs yesterday.

Here's the one I have:

And here's the S2000, since I figure that's what most of you would want:

That works. The Tamiya R/C model at that site interests me.
