Default Tein S-techs

When i was looking to buy springs i wanted something that had a noticeable drop W/ a front rake, higher spring rate, and was from a reputable company.

I choose the S-techs.

I have a couple problems with them,

1. finger test has differant gaps between both front left and right and rear left and right.

2. no front "rake" look i was after, looks like the rear is lower than the front.

these are authentic tein S-techs, i double checked that i installed the Fronts in the fronts and the rear springs in the rear, i did the fingure test on level ground.

i would like some other input on things i should check, if the springs are installed correctly on the strut, what else could be afftecing the wheel gaps,

i will post Pictures shortly

dispite the outcome. i think i am going to switch to something with a more agressive drop. and something that lowers the front a tad more than the rear so it has that aggresive

can you please recommend springs, right now im leaning towards KG/mm race springs.

You are going to need something with an adjustable perch if you want that much control.

ya, I have the KG/MM's and honestly will probably sell them in a not to far future. I also want the front rake look...(front lower then rear) and well I'm probably going to get the KW Varient 3's...the only problem is now that I say near future, I forgot that I'm going to buy a bike soon.

just to give you some idea, all springs only drop will give you a "boat" look, it's not that the front spring sits higher, but it just the car looks with the drop.

on my other honda, with 2inch drop front and 1.7 in the rear, the front still looks higher than the rear. tein, eibach, H&R you name it..

unless you going with some coilover/sleeve over you will have a hard time finding your match.(well, good luck searching)

one thing you can do is check if the spring end is sitting on the end of the seat or not.

plus wait for them to settle, the front might drop a tad more

hmm... strange, when i installed the S-TECH's, my front was about 1 finger LOWER than the rear giving it that raked look

then i wanted more control and a lower ride so i picked up a set of TEIN SRC

My tein s-techs are fine. Front is BARELY lower but overall the drop is nice. Ill probaby just get some Koni yellow and use the perch to drop the front a tad more. Oh and it took around 1 1/2 - 2 months to fully settle down.

i got them from a reputable shop and they passed all the tests on the Tein website

alright guys, i think i might have did the fingure test on some Unlevel ground...... (even tho it looked level to me).

because i went to the supermarket and in the parking lot i did it again and this time the 2 fronts were about the same, and the backs were the same to.

i am positive the springs are installed in the strut correctly so i think they just need time to settle,

here are a few pics... not the best of the wheel gaps but of the whole car.

Have you checked your alignment? In the one pic, your passenger rear looks like it has positive camber?
