I drove one, got hooked and immediately traded in my '02 WRX.

Man, I really feel like a newbie. I guess it was the Sebring Silver Metallic. What penance do I owe? I have the "master plan" that the wife rolls her eyes at, but the MINIs days are numbered (548).

Drove a friend's S2K and a week later left work in the middle of the day and took one home that night.

One drive and I decided I had to have one someday. Still waiting, but my time will come.

I first saw a S2K on display at a CART race at Laguna Seca in 1999. It was an exquisite piece of machinery. For the price, it was in a class all by itself. Well four years later, I finally have one.
It was kind of hard to understand why the salesman had to go with me on the test drive, but afterwards, it was clear. I know that nobody thrashed it before me.
The salesman and I had a smile a mile wide. He was kinda cool about me threshold braking from 100mph (in a straight line with nobody behind us).

I drove my friends S2k for the first time, and three weeks later I had sold my Mustang and bought an S2000.
