Test drove a S2K today...
Test drove a 2001 S2K, with 22K miles for 22.5K. The car also has some nice audio upgrades (dei tweaters, 400w amp). There are no visible dings, perfect interior, carfax is clean, and only 1 owner. 5 months remaining on the factory warranty which I plan to extend. What do you guys this about this deal? Are there issues with the 00-01s I should really look at on this car before I buy it?
Overall I was very impressed with the car. I didn't get to push it too hard because it was raining. It also has brand new Yokohama ES100s on it which seemed to grip pretty well in the rain. The car felt solid and the steering was really tight which I liked. The only drawback was the noisy interior cabin, which I don't even care about. Let me know what you guys think.
BTW- It's a Silverstone with all black interior, which I hear is the fastest color

Those tires suck but other than that it sounds pretty good. I would try to get the price down a bit. If you are financing through the dealership you have to haggle twice. Once for the price and again for the finance rate. Be prepared to walk out of the finance office if you don't get a rate you aggree with. Many dealers will pad the rate and take the difference for the dealership. It's messed up.
The silverstone with black interior is nice and you're lucky the stereo has been enhanced. The stock one sucks bad.

Yeah the rear window was plastic I believe, but seemed to be in good condition. Don't really care since I'm getting a hardtop later on anyway. Looks like I'm gonna apply for financing next Monday. Anyone know anything about financing and FICO scores? I have a FICO score of around 680-700ish right now, 45k annual income, think I'll get approved?

S2000 prices are going to be higher in spring time compared to winter.
