Default Test Pipe?

Hi,
Soon I will have an intake, headers and exhaust. Is it worth getting a test pipe? How much gain does it provide? What kind is good?
Thanks

I'm also interested in a test pipe, but I'm concerned with how the exhaust gases smell... any opinions?

Yes, the CEL light will be on, and if you do not get an O2 simulator (or create some way to fool the stock ECU) the ECU (I think) will de-tune to cut emissions. I have heard of using a hollowed out spark plug. There should be a DIY on here about it somewhere, as a good number of people have test pipes.

I too am considering getting one. I do not have a header yet, only a comptech cat-back and INJEN cai. Will a test pipe help much on a stock header? If not, are there any decent headers for ~$500? (J's and Rick's are higher).

I have the Berk Technology test pipe and I am very very happy with it on my f22C. I also have the Hondata intake manifold gasket, AEM V2 and Pro Flow TB. The Berk unit addresses the CEL and comes ready to install as is.
