Exclamation test pipe and emissions?

All we do in WA obd2 and then o2 sniffer if it fails OBD2. Basically dont pull codes and you pass the obd2 and then just do gas cap.

Well with a test pipe you get that smell....I have ot put my car on rollers and rev it at low speed at a certian RPM. Wont the attendant get suspicious at this smell? I know lots of others have passed this so let me know

In California the technitian that does the smog check will do a visual check of the catalyitic converter (see if its there). They also are taking tailpipe emissions samples and with no catalytic converter you will most likely fail that test.

thats why you keep the cat and slap it back on for an emissions test. in CA there is a law that if you buy a brand newcar for the first 5 years you don't need an emissions test. I don't know if its the same in WA.

California standard may end up going nation wide.

After your initial smog, you only need to smog your car every two years. A test pipe and catalytic converter are pretty simple to install and remove.

uhh man its actually a bitch if you have an aftermarket exhaust in the way to take off the stock cat. Had to push that exhaust so damn much and wiggle it to slide off cat... so any examples of goign toa place with no visuals and just obd2?
