Thanks guys. I half expected to be completely bashed for my decision but the reality is a very nice surprise .

Interestingly enough when I posed the question of whether or not I should do this move on the GTI boards the general consensus was not to get rid of the S. They have a lot of respect for this car.

The slammed trend continues but only if you are building a show car. Then it's still popular. I'd you are building for power they don't seem to care as much. APR has some serious offerings when it comes to power modifications that can be done in small steps which should be a lot of fun.
