Wow, that is so sad. Thanks for posting the pictures. It is a reminder of how careful we all need to be behind the wheel. Glad you are ok and good luck getting through the insurance process.

Glad you're OK. It's terrible that happened. As someone who had their '93 Integra pulled from their hands in a similar way, there is nothing more frustrating than losing a beloved car to another's poor driving decisions. Hammer your insurance and make sure they know replacing it is more costly than what they will "value" it.

All that said, I think you may be able to buff that out :-)

Holy crap! Glad the car saved you.

So if I understood the scenario, this driver didn't notice the giant 18 wheel semi truck parked in the lane she was changing into until after she changed into that lane, all while accelerating.

Since she'd already overtaken you, she had to slam the brakes to try and merge back into your lane. But she compounded her lack of awareness with bad skill, not waiting long enough to change lanes, and clipped you, the effect being much like a deliberate PIT maneuver.

...and no doubt she was driving a gianourmous SUV. You know, for safety.

Wow! You are very fortunate that you weren't killed. I just had a woman hit my 2003 S on March 8th of this year and the car was totaled. Not as dramatic as your accident, but the wife suffered some broken ribs. The insurance company will low ball you on the value of the car. I attempted to contact the company that determines car values and explain the situation, but they told me that they are hired by the insurance company and would not speak to me directly. I have since replaced my "03 with an "06 that I have now insured with Hagarity Insurance at full value. That may be something to consider.

Wow that's a scary looking accident. Glad to hear you are ok. Thank god you didn't have a passenger. Sorry for the loss. Car appears to be setup nicely.

So sorry to see this Justin....I hope you're OK. Such a beautiful S2K lost....It' a bummer...but you can always get another one, hard to replace your own body parts.

Don't let the insurance company screw you....Try to buy the car back from the insurance company....You'll get a lot out of the S2K selling all the good parts off it.
