I traded-in my '00 s2k for a '01 prelude for practical reasons that I would not rather elaborate. I actually lost about 3.5k in depreciation cost & about .5k in taxes for a total of 4k after a year of ownership.

However, I would like to thank people like cdelena, gregstevens, pinky, rick, who have contributed to the success of this board and the previous one (h-a.net).

Good luck to all

Best of luck. The Prelude is a great car. Good performance & handling, great reliability...just a solid car.

I am doing just the opposite, I just sold my Prelude SH and hopefully my S2000 will be here soon.

Thanks for hanging out, JG. Sorry to see you leave the clan, but that doesn't mean you can't hang out...stick around, ok?

Cheers

Furio is right. The Prelude is a great car. I had a '96 VTEC and I loved the car. I understand that the new model is even faster and better handling. You've still got a fun ride.

Hi, I saw that you sold your s2K for a Prelude. I did the exact opposite. Right before I sold the car I bought DC Sports' Front, Rear, and Rear lower Strut bars and Indiglo white guage faces and never got to put any of them on. They ae all brand new/never installed parts still in the box. All together they cost about $400 bucks.....check it out yourself. If you want them, I'll sell you all of them for $100. I just wan't them out of my garage. They remind me too much of the Prelude I miss so much (great car). Email me back at viol8r50@aol.com if you are interested.

I love the 5th Gen Preludes... especially the SH with the underbody spoiler kit. Good luck.

javadude,

Good luck. I drove an 86 Prelide for 200,000 miles, then traded (yes, they actually gave me money for it) for a 97 Prelude which I drove for 56,000 miles before buy my S2k in February. Great cars! They are designed as a 'sport coupe' aimed at a little diffrent market, but I enjoyed every minute of ownership. Never had any trouble with either car. If you see a Red S with no front plate and NY 'OBOE EH' on the rear, Honk and Wave!

Great choice for an only car, Mr. Guru. It should do you well. Good luck!
