I was reluctant to say goodbye to my beautiful Silverstone MY01 S2000...The sales force at the Chevy dealership were ALL OVER IT. I replaced it today with a MY2003 Torch Red Z06. I will sorely miss the beautiful lines of the S2000 as well as the razor sharp tossability and open top. However, I cannot quite express how it feels to have 405 horses and gobs of torque at ones beckoning. Man the Z06 is so damn fast it's scary!!!!!

I will also miss my daily ritual of scanning all of the new posts at S2KI.com I'll make sure to stop by periodically to see what's going on with my fellow auto enthusiasts. I have found a few really great Z06 forums and am happy to see that they too are as excited about their cars as the S2000 crowd is. Thanks for all of the VERY helpful advice and untold hours of entertainment.

....I'm off to buy some gold chains and open-chested shirts now...

You scared me, I thought you'd say 350Z. Those vettes are awesome though. Definately a car I'd consider a step up from an S. Maybe a corvette on training wheels?

I drove a Vette a few weeks back. It was a convertible and had a different exhaust and intake. The thing was CRAZY!!! Too much power, IMO. If there could even be such a thing.

I know I see folks bitch all the time about power and torque and blah, blah, blah. I love my S2000 and I am happy with the power it has. I don't think I'd be happy with a Vette that holds so much power at the wheel. I know one thing is for sure, I'd have GOBS of tickets!

Best of luck with your Z06, hope you enjoy it.

BTW, this reminded me of something. A friend of mine has a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo C5 Vette and that damn thing has over 650hp! He uses it as his daily driver!
