The other day I was walking out the the car parked in a grocery store parking lot when I saw two older ladies, one in her 50's and the other had to be in her 70's. They were examining the car very closely. I strolled up to them and jokingly asked "Wanna ride?" One of them jokingly replied "Sure!". Right after that she said "it's really cute!" as they continued into the store. My smile turned into a sort of disappointed smirk. "Cute??" A Miata is cute, dammit.

Men don't really care to own anything that's "cute." Well, at least I don't...

If the lady is cute (and young) and says the car is cute, I don't mind; because then I can say something terribly clever like, "So are you!" That is, unless my wife is with me.

 

"Cute" is not that bad. I was having a coffee with a buddy of mine who owns an SLK 320. A "cute" old couple walked by his car and the old woman said "Isn't that darling!"

It drove him crazy
