They thought it was a Firebird Trans Am Ram Air Convertible. $31,660; 300 hp, muscle car.

A RED monster!

And it comes with a high power stereo!

Half the females at work have asked me when I'm going to bring that cute red car to work again.

That's right before they call it a Miata.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like Miatas, but.....

THIS IS NOT A MIATA!!!!

Opel in Europe has a new roadster based on the Lotus Elise. Pontiac is toying with the idea of importing it, changing the body a bit and rebadging it as a Pontiac roadster.

So Pontiac may have a Lotus Elise based roadster on the way.

Lotus on the other hand is talking about bringing the Elise to the States.

New Opel Speedster may come over as a Pontiac, but if they know enough about cars to know that, they should know what an S2000 is.

Opel had some pretty FAST cars early on. I always like the lines on the Opel GT. Looked a lot like a miniature Vette.

Greg, better go wash your car... It's starting to look like very American!

Maybe they thought it was a Sunfire. Some gay, oops, i mean guy told me his could do 200 mph. I said, "That's cool, you'll have to show me that sometime" What an idiot.

Only the Opel wasn't built as well as Vettes of the time -- and that's really saying something. Two of my friends owned them, and they were the worst-made POSs I've ever seen in my life.
