Is there a restriction on ordering CR oem parts?

just curious, called a local Honda dealership, and they told me there is a restriction on ordering CR parts;and that i have to have a CR VIN #..in otherwords, i need to own one..Don't tell me this is true..

or just go to hardtopguy.com ---- Jeff has many of the CR parts listed on his website already---heavily discounted off regular dealer pricing

i heard the same about some scions that had special versions can only get those parts.. but i ono ..

Yep, Jeff @ Hardtopguy has PLENTY of CR parts, and he can most likely get any other CR part that isnt on his site.
