How'd you get a 4/48 base warranty? Honda's standard is 3/36.
If you ever buy a Honda or Acura Certified vehicle the manufacture will add 12mths/12k miles to the base warranty. Which extends the non pwrtrain warranty for Honda to 4yrs/48k miles and Acura to 5yrs/62k. Powertrain becomes a 7yr/100k for both makes.

I for one didn't believe your stated price, but lets say you really got the car for that price, you got a better then super price.
All that being said, no one else could expect such a great deal just because of you doing so! At this point, dealers have them off their floor plans and own them out right and know what they have and are not going to give them away!
I am just informing the members what I paid for the car. I never stated that you should demand that price, but it should give you an idea of what you should be paying for a car that has been sitting for a while on the lot/showroom. BTW, I would be more than welcome to show you paperwork on the transaction. That is TEXAS for you baby!

Sorry to all the non believers!!

lol @ those asking prices.

That being said, someone could probably get a sweet deal on that CR in VA.
Last year I could have picked up a new CR, black delete, for $28k in VA. I was told by a friend at the dealership that if I caught them on the right day, I'd get the car for $25k. It had been on the lot for over a year. At one point, the dealership was leaving it out front on the weekends in hopes it would be stolen.

Ah, if only the wife would have gone for it.

Another important thing that we all may forget is, even with the Internet, some buyers just don't know what others are paying for cars. Also money is not an issue with everybody, when I bought my 07 GPW with Red and Black interior with less then 2565 miles on it this spring, I would have paid in the high 20's for it because that was the exact car I've been waiting on! Luckily I got it for 24500, which some folks on here still thought was top dollar. I bought it for a Sunday driver and probably will put around 2K a year on it, so in ten years, I'll have a 13 year old car with about 25K miles on it. What will it be worth? I don't really care but I'm guessing that when I post it for sale, I'll be asking and getting more for it then anyone on here will say its worth.
Then bottom line is, some of the value of S2000 you are buying today is determined by how you are going to use it. Someone buying a DD will not pay what someone pays that is only going to use it for Sunday drives.
Just a side note , I've owned three Covrveets, an 98, 04 and a new 08, I've also owned three S's, an 01, 06 and my 07. I've lost a little money selling the Vetts, but I never lost any money on the S's when I sold them. Just thought that was interesting.

I'd be willing to bet, somebody could do better now than I did. I got my leftover new 2008 in 2/09 for $27,200 which I didn't think was a fantastic price then because I was reading on this website that people in other states(mostly back east) were getting theirs for like $25k. I did do enough research and negotiating to know that that was about the best I could do on a new 08 at that time in Northern California...Nobody was willing to budge on the 09s at that time because they were thinking as others have suggested that there would be stronger demand from people wanting the last ones built. Problem for them was that the 08s were exactly the same as the 09s and they were willing to discount those to move them.

As for the CRs, I probably could've picked up one of the 08 models of those for about the same price at the time because dealers had been holding them for ransom thinking the demand would be higher than it turned out to be.

I didn't get the extended "certified pre-owned" warranty because mine was sold as new from the original new car dealer, but I can legitimately sell mine as being the original owner purchased as new which I think is worth a little extra.

I sold my 06 in Feb. of this year for 19K, I bought it six months earlier for 17800.
Earlier last year I bought an 01 for 12K and sold it for 13100.
Granted I was lucky, but my point is that people don't always do their home work and pay more then they should.
To be honest I did make some money, but very little because of Taxes and etc
