Default Are these CR parts compatible with my AP1?

OK, so I'd like to increase the handling performance of my 2003 AP1 S2000. I have relatives that work for American Honda, so I'm considering getting some parts through them if they are compatible and would offer a performance improvement.

So, can anyone tell me if the following CR parts are compatible with my '03?

Shocks (I've got 100,000 miles on mine)
Springs
Front sway bar
Brake pads

If I'm not mistaken, the rear pads of the AP2 are the same as the CR (or it might be the fronts).

Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Any modifications for fitment needed? Are the brake pads better? Will the CR pads be OK for the street?

Regarding shocks and springs...I don't consider the ride of MY03 to be harsh at all really, so how much harsher would it be if I switched the springs and shocks? Could I switch the shocks and not the springs, or vice versa?

Here are the spring rates:

OEM Spring rates by year (front/rear)
MY00-01 = 218/291
MY02-03 = 240/230
MY04-07 = 256/207
MY08-UP = 274/225
MY08 CR = 375/264

I think you'll be fine with the CR shocks/springs. I would do both the spring and the shock since they are designed to work together.

Get the CR swaybar bushing with the CR swaybar.

Someone has to look up the Honda part numbers to see if the CR brake pads are different from the regular ones. I don't think they are but I am not sure. You wouldn't feel a huge difference one way or the other as they are still OEM pads.

I checked on pad part numbers yesterday, but the guy wrote it down so "unclearly" that I'm gonna go back and check them again. I did remember him telling me that the 03 had different numbers that either the CR or 08. And that the CR and 08 had either the same for front, or for rear, but not both.

Spets, thank for the spring rates. Regarding the source of the info...I remember reading a while back people trying to figure out the spring rates based on Honda's quotes of rates for various years being so much of a percentage stiffer or softer than previous years.

Is that what this info is based on? Or have we been able to find out the exact rates from some source?

Thanks.

I'm not sure. It is from the official springs thread in the suspension forum.

you have to remember even if the pad dimensions are the same, honda may use a different part number for different year pads based solely on the pad compound.

i.e. the AP1 pad has a different part number than the AP2 pad, but it still fits, the part number difference is due to the pad compound.

That's exactly what I'm hoping. I'm hoping the CR pad size is the same, but that it uses a more aggressive compound that could be used for the track and the street.
