My friend sent me this site to look at, it states a RARE S2000 shift knob. . .look closely at the photo. . .what a crock!

Ah, the old "you must be careful what you read" story. Note how the sale is worded: S2000 STYLE aluminum shift knob. Note the word style in the ad.
The seller does not purport it to BE a s2000 knob, just the style of the S2000.
But I agree it tends to be a tad mis-leading.

My S2000 is still somewhere between Japan and my dealer, so I can't run out to the garage to check my 6-speed. However, I still think this shift knob looks a little strange. I understand the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, but what does the "R" stand for

What a Shmuck!!! He should give you a discount for missing our 6th gear!! Looks real cool without the 6-speed configuration. Also, note that the user has a sunglass next to his ID which probably means he is very new or jumps around a bit. People like that are good reasons not to buy from Ebay unless you know what you're doing.
