Ah, the old "you must be careful what you read" story. Note how the sale is worded: S2000 STYLE aluminum shift knob. Note the word style in the ad.

The seller does not purport it to BE a s2000 knob, just the style of the S2000.

But I agree it tends to be a tad mis-leading.

My S2000 is still somewhere between Japan and my dealer, so I can't run out to the garage to check my 6-speed. However, I still think this shift knob looks a little strange. I understand the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, but what does the "R" stand for

It's got to be rare. How many of us have a shift knob like that? I'll bet none of us do. Sounds rare to me.

59.95! You can just about get the real thing for that. As the saying goes, "Don't settle for substitues."

What a Shmuck!!! He should give you a discount for missing our 6th gear!! Looks real cool without the 6-speed configuration. Also, note that the user has a sunglass next to his ID which probably means he is very new or jumps around a bit. People like that are good reasons not to buy from Ebay unless you know what you're doing.

It probably came off of a rare S2000 style 5 speed transmission. I'm glad THAT option never saw daylight.
