Think about trading my 911 for s2000
Ok,
I own a 1990 911 964 Targa. All updates no accidents, original paint, all documentation, overt 30K in receipts from service. Black on Black.
love the s2000. want a real Roadster instead of a targa. not a boxster fan.
torn....is this a bad idea?

I thought about going either direction as well. Ended up with S for my DD.
Couple of thinking points...
*Reliability
*TCO (maintenance, repairs, insurance, gas, etc.)
*Drive-ability
-NVH
-stiffness
-handling
Just a few things to think about.

Some other cars to think about, if you've enjoyed the Porsche, are the 1998 993 and any modern Cayman (either base or S.)
As far as going from the 964 to the S2000 - my dad used to own an '86 911 Targa. A VERY different car compared to the Honda except for one thing - both are extremely fun to drive.
I don't think you'd bee disappointed with the S2000.

Keep the 911 AND by an "S"..., they arn't that expensive if your used to the maintenance on the 911. I kept my 944 cuz I couldn't make up my mind. I am now thinking 944 in the winter and "S" in the summer although both RWD.
They're both very different driving experiences. But both are wonderful. Personally, I'd recommend picking up a cheaper s2k and keeping both. You won't be looking at much for maintenance on the s2k.
