Default thinking about tinting my windows

I have a MY02 sebring...and I really would like to tint my hardtop and windows. I was thinking 20% for the hardtop, 35% on the sides. I live in NJ, and even for those of you who don't live in NJ...do you get pulled over a lot with them? I've never had tint on my front windows, and I just don't want to be paying a lot of money for tickets and stuff. People have told me that it's a pain and it's worthless...but I think it changes the whole appearance of the car and it's something I've always considered. My shop said about $150.

Also, does anyone have a sebring that's tinted? I've seen a few and it looked pretty good.

I think the car looks great with tinted windows.

I want to get mine tinted too, $85 for the side windows, $250 if they included the rear on the soft-top. I thought that was ridiculous, but they claim it's really hard to tint the rear window without getting dust and dirt stuck on it. I still think that's a ridiculous cost! I think I'll just get the driver and passenger side done. By the way, I realize you said the rear on your hard top.

On my old car I almost had limo tint on all 4 windows and I never got in trouble. I did get pulled over a couple times and I just opened all the windows and turned on the interior light to lessen the appearance. To the cop it just looks like you're giving a nice open view of the car to them, which they appreciate.

Wow! If that isnt the biggest load of crap ever haha. They were trying to shaft you big time. 35% is more than enough. The interior is dark anyways, so it will look darker. Post pics when you get it done, Id like to see

I'm not in a rush to get mine done, I'll do it in the next couple months. I'm trying to pace myself so as I get used to having one mod, I'll do the next My purchase today was a nice new comptech exhaust at a hefty 65% discount. Hard to turn down!!

My top is usually down too, but now the temperature is gettin real close to freezing at night and that's not so pleasant

I live in NJ and have 20% tint...its real dark

I've never been bothered about it. So much so that I went through a police checkpoint the other day and forgot to roll my windows down when they told me to slow down

Wasn't bothered at all about it.

BTW, I was charged 150 to do all my windows. If you need a place on central NJ coast, send me a PM.

My previous car was tinted all around @20%. I was never pulled over or even bothered when I was pulled over for other reasons. But the S is a different story since I never have my front plates mounted on.

It would suck to be pulled over for tints, only to get another ticket for no front plates or vice-versa.

I hear that's cause his skin is made of a high-density, wind-resistant polymer. I knew there was no way that man is all original parts. He's totally modded.
