Default thinking of getting 2005/06 s2k

hey all!. I currently have a 2002 audi ttquattro roadster. Warrenty up pretty soon,, been having minor issues all the time now as car gets older. Been a fan of s2k for a while.... Im in NY and not too sure if the s2k can handle the snow out here... Anyone use theirs as daily car and drive it in snow/rain?>??

Also.. what is the true 0-60 time.. I know it lacks low torque, what would be some good easy mods to give it a little more on the low range.

thanks! all

I drive mine in the rain all the time and it has been driven in the snow (wearing LM-22s). Sun/Rain is the stock RE050. Fine around town and fine on the highway. I do granny around in bad weather though.

Point: It can easily be done.

well, you'd definitely need snow tires for snow
the OEM RE050's are decent in the wet for a summer tire.
i'd wait for the MY06 though, it has some upgrades which may help in the rain/snow (namely VSA).

depends on what you mean by "true".
launch the car with revs >= 6000 RPM and you can pull low 5 sec 0-60
don't launch the car and you're looking at more like low 6 sec 0-60.

You may want to check out the EVO IV and the Subaru WRX if you use the car in snow or rain a lot. These cars are fun and more reliable than the Audi.

The S may not fit the bill for you.

i saw many people bent their rims with performance tires on.
