Hi there,
I was thinking of getting the S2000 cause it looks sweet and I bet is a joy to drive. I wanted to know how it compares to other honda cars. cause I currently have 99 prelude SH and I really dont like it. I am hoping that the S2000 is much different then the prelude. I test drove a Acura Type R and enjoyed it much more over the prelude but I already had the lude. I am also considering an Audi S4 besides the S2000. But I wanted to know if the S2000 feels like a honda or more like a real sports car (which I hope it does). Thanks for your help all

It's not like any other Honda ever built.

Too many A4s! Never owned Honda prior to the S2k. It really feels like a sports car, even a motorcycle too.

Oh, you can't beat driving with the top down. That alone beats an A4!

No comparison btw the S2000 and either the S4 or the SH. Both are fine cars in their own respects, but the S2000 is a nasty and mean convertible sports car in the true sense of the term. No other Honda can compare, not even the NSX. Not saying one is better than the other, but I'm saying that drop top fun is like no other.

A good friend has an S4 and it's one helluva nice sedan, but to compare it to the S2000? No way, not a valid comparison. Try it, you'll like it!

Since you live in LA, you may want to go and rent the S2000 for a day or two. I can recommend you 2 places that I know for sure has S2000s for rent. It's not cheap to rent, but it beats a 5 minute test drive (if you even get one), or just listening to other people talk about it.

email me if you want to rent them.

yah..i have to agree with greg..a buddy of mine also has a s4..really nice car..i got to drive it one time and damn that thing is fast off the start..due to a combo of awd and i *think* max torque at 1800-2000 rpm..something really low like that, or that's what my friend told me but not a flashy car..i love my car..everywhere i go you always see people looking over at you..with the s4, it looks like an a4!...but they're two different cars so you have to see what you need..

I agree completely with all previous comments made on this one. It's not like any other Honda. It's like a bike on 4 wheels. It's not an every day driver, but when you do drive it, you will enjoy every minute! Don't wait for spring, do it now!

Compared to a stook, I think the prelude is a bit of a poser. The S2000 offers more bang-for-the-buck fun than any car I've ever owned, including BMW, Porsches and Datsun Z-car. It's relative rarity guarantees you won't see yourself everytime you turn a corner and, perhaps best of all, you've got a dedicated group of owners here who always have good ideas and new incites to the S2K owner experience.
