Default Thinking maybe it's time for an alignment

I've never had an alignment done before, and my car only has 20,000 miles on it...but I'm starting to think something is a little wrong. At high speeds and on the highway, the car is absolutely fine, but if I'm accelerating a lot and all the sudden I hit the brakes, the car moves in all sorts of directions. Just feels very unstable. I've driven cars with alignment problems and mine feels nothing like their's, and for a while I was thinking that maybe it's just the S2000, but I'm not certain.

I got some things done and now it's time to do some suspension upgrades. I have springs on my car but I still have the OEM shocks and I need to buy some aftermarket ones. I doubt that has anything to do with it but you never know. I know enough about cars to know that I don't need some kind of insane and costly addition to my car, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

i thought that whenever you lower the car, you need to let it settle and get an alignment?

The car has been on these springs for 7,000 miles.

if the car feels unstable, then it might not be safe.. get your alignment checked for this purpose if anything, its only $60 and might be the solution to your problem.

u might need front tires at 20k already, and the front struts are probably weak already so when u slam on the brakes they compress more than usuall.

I think that's exactly what it is. Just none of my cars act like this one. I have brand new rear tires, think I might need some new fronts?

Front and rear tires should match, alignment after any suspension changes, and check front brake rotors to see if they are warped since you mentioned it happens when you brake.
