I think Apex is the most feminine looking color on the S2000. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just my personal opinion.


I personally like Suzuka. It's not exactly a common color on other cars. I'm still waiting for someone to try a Phoenix yellow S2000 lol.

 

im gonna go the other way, i dislike suzuka, i think you should repaint to laguna, although if your not doing jambs then dont bother.

I vote for keeping it suzuka! I have one and love the color of it. Also if you really want a different color, do all the jams and stuff or it will look cheap and tacky. The best thing to do would to just get the exterior re-sprayed suzuka. You could have a new perfect paint job, and with the jams still matching and everything.

 

If you're going to paint it, paint it right. Don't cheap out on your S - IMO it looks so ghetto to have jambs and engine bay a different color. You might like the new paint when you first get it but after the novelty wears off you'll get sick of seeing the two different colors.

Better yet keep it the original color, but only if you're confident with your manliness. Suzuka gets a lot of hate from homophobes lol.

 

Apex Blue is really nice in person. I'm yet to see a photo that does it justice.

 

I realize this. However, that is why I am trying to chose a color which would blend well against Suzuka. Obviously Suzuka engine bay and Rio yellow exterior would look like poop. But Suzuka engine bay, and Estoril blue (kindof like a darker Suzuka by a few shades) exterior might look fine. I've seen on some cars, usually metallic colors, where there engine bay is a flat color vs the exterior which is a metallic. I think some older bmws came from the factory that way and it didn't look bad.

 

If you plan on driving this car until it doesn't work anymore, paint it whatever you want. A lighter blue in just the engine bay won't be a big deal at all. But if there's a chance you'll sell it in the future, respray suzuka.

 

The 370 Monterey Blue is IMO the best of the bunch. When I encountered it in person, I couldn't stop looking at it. It's just fantastic. Probably the only blue I could ever see taking over LBP.

 

Apex blue...But what are you going to do with the interior.if you go in that direction?
