Default Third party CD changers?

Does anyone know if there are any third party trunk CD changers that interface with the 2002 S2000 Alpine head unit? Will any Alpine model work? If anyone has any experience, please let me know. I don't really desire to pay $700 for Honda's rip-off unit.

I don't know exactly what you are asking, but I have two Alpine cd changers connected to one head unit. This is done by a "multichanger" adapter from Alpine which allows you to connect upto six changers. I will have pictures next week.

alpine m-bus series changers (CHMS620, the most common one) will work just fine with the use of an adapter. they're basically the same changer that honda uses, but there's a pin or two reversed to make them 'different,' hence the need for the adapter.

Go to Circuit City or a store like that. They are made by after market companies. I believe that Blitz makes one.

By the way, I am changing my head unit and I will be unable to use my m-bus Alpine changer. I would happily sell it to you (or anybody) for $150.00 and this includes the adapter (which costs about $60). PM me if anybody is interested.

you can by the honda cd changer at handa accessories one of the site sponsors for $300. personally i would save your money towards a new better head unit! then get the cd changer to match.

I've had enough of nice stereos that I have to worry about being stolen and the pain of carrying around faceplates and such. At this point I'm happy to live with a decent factory stereo that it's unlikely anyone will bother stealing (I hope). The 2002 stereo is more than good enough to keep me happy, far better than any factory stereo I've ever had in fact. A speaker upgrade might be in store at some point.

Has anyone ever had a factory stereo stolen?

I'd be interested, but I'd like to see first if there are any 10-disc changers made that work with the head unit. [/B][/QUOTE]

Your out of luck on the 10 disc changer. Alpine has an AI net line that offers 6 and 12 disc but is not compatible with your OEM radio. JPit is offering you a really great deal.
