Default those with clear side markers....clear or amber bulbs?

I put on a set of clear sidemarkers, which at times look great, but at other times you can see the amber bulbs inside them pretty clearly. Because of this I'm wondering if people are using a clear bulb with the clear sidemarker. After reading a post by w1ngman where he provided instructions for painting the tip of the amber bulb silver for the headlights, I started thinking this might be a good trick for the sidemarkers. This way you can't see the amber of the bulb, but it still lights up amber. What have other people done?

I have clear bulbs in mine. In some areas it's illegal though. The amber bulbs might keep you from getting pulled over. But screw it, do whatever you think looks best.

I have the led ones. They are white and light amber. You can't see them at all.

I have 194 chrome amber bulbs. They look great! My sidemarkers have a very strong clear look and shine a strong orange when I signal.

I got it from ebay:
