When I went to the dealer to talk about purchasing a S2000 the dealer had quoted me around 4k over MSRP. So roughly i'm looking at 36k for the car. Im wondering for those who live in SoCal(mainly San Diego) what did you guys pay for your car.

I live in San Diego too and was quoted some prices around what you were getting. I decided to look for a car out of state and found one in Ohio who was willing to sell at MSRP and give me a discount in shipping the car down here. Finalizing the paper work now, hopefully it'll be here by next week!

Hello - I got mine from Norm Reeves in Cerritos, CA. They won't sell this car for more than MSRP, and they have the largest S2000 lot in the world (being the largest dealer and all). You may run into a waiting list, but I suggest you give them a call. I have found that the larger the dealer, the less you'll find a markup.

Penske Honda in Ontario. I bought mine there a year ago for MSRP and no forced options.

Start calling as many dealers as you can in So Cal. There are a few that sell for at or below MSRP. Quickly hang up on those that aren't.

Go east young man, go east.....before it thaws! When it thaws the party will be over and the prices will go up there too.

another trojan norm reeves buyer here!!
got mine last summer... had to wait about 3 months, but that was summer time. also paid MSRP with the forced options. handled the entire deal by e-mail, until i picked up the car. took about an hour at the dealer to finish the paperwork... very easy buying experience.

Got mine at Temecula Norm Reeves. Around $35K with forced spoiler options.
I know I could've gotten a better deal at the Ceritos but I had a reason to buy the car at just the moment so...
I saw a black parked at Pacific Honda. The last one they had was a yellow and was asking $41K. I would at least think about driving up to somewhere in LA. Last time I asked, Norm Reeves Ceritos was selling them at MSRP but with about $3K in options that you can choose from.
