Ive been doin some searchin around S2Ki and cannot find the answer.

Ive decided to boost my s with a comptech. i want to get some defi gauges as well tho. i was thinking about just starting off with air/fuel and boost.

now with these gauges i need to purchase the Defi Link Control Unit II dont i?

now the install is not too hard for someone with basic knowledge of electronics and engine?

and anyone haver a website with the best deal?

The Defi gauges do not display air fuel. Not all the gauges Defi makes requires the link unit. The popular/nice BF series does need it though.

Installation is pretty simple and is only four wires that needs to be hardwired.

 

hm i didnt even notice that they didnt have an air fuel, i just though that the fuel gauge was an air fuel. thanks for the help

well what other gauge would be most beneficial other than boost for forced induction?

oil temperature is a good one to have if you are turbo. Fuel pressure is a good one to have if you are S/C.

 

Defi control unit is a plus! very nice you can record and see your peak boost etc...has some nice features on it!

 

Oil pressure, oil temp and water temp are the essentials in my mind (after AFR and boost).

Keep in mind that Defi now offers non-metric (i.e. psi/F) gauges too.

 

 

I would say oil pressure and boost are the best to get if you just get 2.

 

I would say to pm bc02. He's in my local club. Great guy. Very knowledgable about Defi gauges and modding the s2k in general.
