If you like a color enough, you can find justification for getting it. I was worried about the yellow being a cop attention getter, while at the same time I was hoping it would get the attention of the "right" (read: female) crowd.

Plus, I've discovered I love cruising with the top down so much, I speed less in this than I did with my previous cars (all of which were not nearly as quick).

No matter what you choose, if you pick the color you secretly desire, you'll be happy. Don't let anyone or anything stop you. If you do, you will always regret not getting that perfect color.

I lived for 4 years with New Formula Red and then switched to Rio Yellow.

I've found that the yellow is more people friendly. I've had many more people approach me with a smile and ask what kind of car I'm driving vs the Red.

The red car seemed to always elicit angst and jealousy from other drivers. Strangers would always roll their eyes and say:"What is that...some kind of Porsche?" Also, in traffic it seemed like someone was always trying to cut me off in the red car.

And lets face it....since yellow is a lighter color...it reflects light, thus causing those photons to actually push it through the air faster There you have it....scientific proof that YELLOW IS FASTER.

No regrets here after like 3 years or so. Sometimes I wouldn't mind having a white one too when I don't feel like the attention, but i wouldn't give up mine, just add another one to the car collection

I've always loved yellow sports cars, but when it came time to buy I started to worry I'd find myself six months down the road saying to myself "WTF was I thinking???". I obviously bit the bullet and went ahead with the yellow, and the best way to answer your question is this...When I'm out driving and see another color S2000 (with possibly the exception of NFR, I think it's beautiful on the S) I actually feel a little bit sorry for them.
