Recently sold my S2k to get into an M3. Loved the S2k, but with the weakness of the US dollar i decided to take advantage and get into an M3. I do plan to most likely own an S2k again (may be importing one in the very near future), but I plan on reselling my cars up here in Canada because of the value difference.
I totally love the car, but the ridiculous impracticality has finally caught up w/ me. I'm going to have to start carpooling and commuting w/ a job change, so the S2k is just not going to work.
Will be replacing w/ Civic Hybrid (in California, we can drive solo in the carpool lane w/ hybrid cars).

Sold my 02 S2 and my 03 TL to get an 05 TL, 6-speed, Nav, all the goodies.
between the S2 and my 03 TL I needed about $10K in maintainance, trading both of them in, I MADE $10K in equity that I used to put down on the new TL. Plus, I just ordered 19;s for the TL, they should be here tomorrow or thursday!!

I sold mine because I got tired of all of the young and fresh a$$ I was getting. J/K
I hated all of the ricers reving on me constantly, grinding/notchy shifter sometimes, snap oversteer w/o warning/downright dangerous in the rain on stock SO2's, no interior room/no back seat to throw my junk (not for passengers), seats hurt my back after 20 minutes, no power under 6K, attention from the Po Po, I hate all of the haters yelling at me for no reason
, I hate that the car makes you an aggressive A- hole driver against your better judgement, I hated my high payments $670/month, I hate having to buy premium gasoline, I hated buying new rear tires constantly, I hated the burning oil problem and being paranoid about that , I hated the chronic off the line bogg, I hate that I had to cock my head to the side to see a stoplight, I hated being paranoid that someone was always out to steal my seats and antenna ( many attempts), I hated that in an empty parking lot someone always parked right next to me, I hated my leather seats( drivers side mostly) that looked 10 years old and wrinkled after 6 months, I hate that a lot of S2000 owners think it's the greatest car ever in the history of the world. There's a million more but those are just a few. Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on the S2000. I owned it for 3 years and drove the dogcrap out of it loving every minute of it but as my only car I just outgrew it. I loved the look and connected feel of the road and the handling was awesome. I loved the sound of the engine and many other things but the purpose of this post was to talk about reasons for selling right?

Quite a few ex-owners are still showing ownership in their profiles - that's just wrong guys.
I sold mine because I needed the extra room. Yes, I miss the S, but my next S2000 will be a second or third car.
Oh - my Honda dealer is fantastic
, my car was never vandalized, I have enough confidence in myself to ignore anyone trying to rev on me, I was never "hated" on, and damn Hygeine Boy - I don't even pay that much for my M3.

Sold it to pay off some credit cards & buy a house. I probably would have kept it but there were some issues that Carmax's gadjillion point inspection failed to catch so in the longterm it was better to sell and save for another one. I've got a little more CC debt to pay off from stuff we had to do to the house but I should be able to get back into another S soon I hope.
