Is an AP2 faster and make more power than an AP1?

No seriously, I just read the 100,000th post about this topic and I actually have a question for you guys. Is this an arguemnt that can ever be put to bed ?

Really, do you think if 20 S2000 owners got together one day, 10 AP1s and 10 AP2s, (similar miles) went to a properly calibrated dyno and the dyno showed 10 times in a row that one made more power than the other people would finally let it go. Or do you think there would always be that one asshole, just for the sake of being an asshole that would find some excuse.

Why don't we have a dyno day and just do this once and for all.

In the end it's not a big deal either way, but it would free up a lot of space on this server.

No matter how conclusive the proof they will always build a bigger and better asshole.

 

Nobody is arguing that the AP2 doesn't make more power than the AP1. I think everybody is willing to agree that that is a fact. The question is whether the extra power actually makes the AP2 faster than the AP1 given the lower redline, and also given the fact that nobody with an AP2 has ever posted a better timeslip than what we've seen out of AP1's. That is all I'm going to say in this thread.

 

More power does not mean faster !!!
