Default threw a CEL today

Had the car in storage for the past couple of weeks since I moved decided to take out today and drove it around for about 15 minutes or so and drove back to where I am staying shut it down to open the garage door and restarted it and the check engine light stayed on car runs fine. Made appointment with the dealer to see what's up. I checked the gas cap other than that I wonder what the deal is.

Any other 06 owners out there that have throw a random CEL.

You can go to autozone and use one of their reader thingies.. not sure what they are called. It will give you the code then come and search for your code on here.

If it was the gas cap, it won't go away for a few days

I don't have an autozone near by so I guess I will have to wait until tuesday when I take it to the stealership.

I think he means clear the code.

well the machine that does the read can also clear the cel.

But you need to check what the code is so you can find out if its something serious.

Took the car in this morning and the code was for a temp sensor value. Basically a software update. They also did two other TSB's that were software updates at the same time, so no big deal.
