Default Ticked off and need to vent.....

My nightmare of owning nice cars finally became a reality.
I brought my S to a local dealer to have a routine oil change peformed. No Biggie right.......Wrong
Once I got into my car I noticed a couple of strange oddities.
My center console cover was wide open and when I tried to release the latches for the top, I had a hard time.
Apparently, someone opened my top and closed it the wrong way. I can tell that a non-s2k savy individual closed my top the wrong way.
He didnt know that you need pull the little handle in the middle down to close the top properly so he forced to close..Hey why not, it's not your car.
Just knowing that someone drove my car disgusts me, over an oil change.
Here's the Kicker...He took a huge gouge out of where the latch clamps to the pillar. Its supposed to be black, now it's silver
Lesson learned : I will wait for my oil change next time, instead of dropping it off.
Now I know why people change their oil themselves.

I would be pissed the fuq off. However, I have a hard time pulling the middle handle down. I usually just flick the "Roof" switch again and the cover comes down a little bit more. Anyone else need to do this?

that absolutely sucks ... and i agree with a couple others' posts:

a) after all the mishaps that others have posted on this site ... why NOT do your own oil changes.

b) i have never pulled the middle handle ... just put the top up, engage both latches at the same time, and latch both at the same time. no torqueing to one side vs the other. my middle handle is useless, and i figured there only for emergency situations where you have to pull the top up manually.

sorry again,
epi

I also don't use the middle handle. I put the top down, and then latch both sides at the same time (I unlatch at the same time as well). When I first got the car, I followed the manual and pulled the middle, but the top was already touching the windshield, so what was the point? I gave up doing this after a few days.
