Default Tien Flex vs Buddyclub

im planning to go with either the tein flex or the buddy club's.
i just need coilovers that i can run on the street. ive done somewhat research on the flex's and i have planned not to buy the edfc since my car will only be driven on the street. i just need suspension that im able to adjust.

ive asked a friend of mine that owned the flex's he's mentioned this.
------------------------------------------------------------------

i thought they were just cheap. they squeaked and rattled. he mention from his previous setup he had they didnt handle any better. ( koni/eibach, koni/gc.)

----------------another buddy of mine mentioned this. ---------------

the edfc motor did seem to 'turn' and start to 'loosen' itself from the shock. the motor never came off, but it did spin in the 'off' direction. a solution would be stronger thread locker, but because disassembly with the provided thread locker is hard enough.

the pillow mounts seemed to rattle when cold and on hard dips there was a compression/quishing noise which sounded cheap.

---------------i also asked my other friend.-----------------------------
he mentioned that if i was looking for lower priced coilovers, why not buddyclubs.

------------------------------------------------------------------

so my question is to people that have had either the buddyclub or the tein's what do you like about them?

what dont you like about them?

how long have you had them for?

how many miles did you put on them?

has this setup given you any problems?

ive also read somewhere that if you lower the buddyclub's too low that the arm starts to hit.

i really dont plan on going that low, but i just want somthing adjustable, that comes in one piece, a decent price.

feel free to chime in and post your inputs. thanks for you time.

I have the BC's. I like them gives me everything I need in a coilover. I do wish the edfc worked on it. It is a stiff ride even at looser settings. The arm wont hit if its adjusted right.

tien flex is cool but a lil too soft for my liking...i am running buddy club racing specs now...a lil cheaper than the flex+edfc combo and the bc's are awesome...loving it everyday...maybe a lil too stiff for the streets...but what a difference..i have them set 1 click from the softess and it is still a lil too stiff for the streets but i won't go any stiffer...i've tried 3 clicks away from softess and the car started getting tail happy on me...the buddy clubs have 15 way dampening adjustable by the way...its your choice

Yeah I use 1 click front 3 back, becasue it keeps my wheels from rubbing.

I am using tein flex with the edfc.

If you install it correctly, there should be no noises and the EDFC should work with no problem.

The ablity to change damping on the fly is great. I absolutely love the setup. It is not a racing coilover, but it gets the job done right on the street.

Noises, what noises?
