Default tightening throttle cable

can anything go wrong if you tighten the throttle cable? and if i floor it all the way with the cable tightened, it would obviously reach WOT before the pedal is all the way to the floor--so if i press it all the way to the floor (by accident), is there any chance of breaking the cable or anything??

thanks

yes you can break it if you tighten too much and slam the pedal. you should leave 1/4 inch play in the cable

Quarter inch of play in the throttle cable itself.

With the throttle cable adjusted too tight, damage can occur to the throttle body.
