If I were you I would trade in your MY2000 S2K and pick up a brand new MY2001 like me! hee hee With a standard rear wind deflector, standard floor mats, standard interior trunk release and standard trunk release inside of the trunk it's probably worth your trade. You could always buy those stick on clocks found at Pep Boys but I would not recommend that.

I've given it some thought. I was thinking of a couple things. Making a custom fit clock that is either backlit or the numbers are lit using the accessory setting like the radio does. I've thought of a couple places to put it. One is on the side of the light up at the top, this can be attached. another is for hardtop owners or people without a hardtop but have the light windshield wipers. There's a fake button that is right next to a real one right behind the cup holder. There's not much other places to put it and make it look like it's part of the car without cutting anything. BTW, I wear a watch too, but a permanently lit clock would definitely be nice for night time.

biker1- I was just teasing I'm feeling a little gidy today! Anyway, I actually just look at my watch also because it's annoying to have to lower the radio cover everytime anyway. It would be cool if someone could design a nice clock that would sit in the dash somehow though. Good luck biker1 and welcome aboard! Remeber, no Vtec for 600 miles!

Same here. The radio door is always closed, so I look at my watch, pager, cell phone or anywhere else the time is displayed. Most of the ime I don't really care, unless I'm late for a meeeting.

does anyone have any ideas about WHERE to put a custom made clock? I'm looking for a spot where it's easy to see when driving, plus can be connected to a voltage supply so it doesn't need batteries. I've looked at some components a while back for some really thin backlit displays that won't stick out too much, but the best I could find was about 1/2" thick. it would be nice to find a place where we can make the clock flush with it's surroundings by possibly replacing a small panel with another one that is cut out for the clock. I'm actually working on another project right now, but I might tackle this one afterwards.

Hi

I velcroed a Brookstones clock/calendar/thermometer to the radio door. Push the button on top and it is backlit with indiglo light. Crude but effective. Don't think a watch is a satisfactory alternative.

If you want to go all out, go to Autometer.com. They have 'A' pillar gauge pods and a line of clocks to go in those pods. Myself, I didn't want to have that pregnant 'A' pillar look so I got myself a simple nice looking Timex Indiglo dial faced watch and took off the straps and pins and velcroed it on the instrument panel just to the right of the steering column and can be seen just above the windshield wiper stalk. At night you can just reach up and push the nite lite for a real neat eerie display.
