Yes, this would scratch the paint...and yes, this would not make me happy...

That said, I probably would have cursed in silence...only good friends would spend this much time trying to pull a friendly prank like this on you...

Most people aren't car people, and don't think about stuff like "aluminum foil scratches the paint", their probably thinking "man, this is going to be funny as hell" or "I can't wait to see his face"...

 

Nope. I would not get mad since my S2000 is my beater. I would if they did it to my other cars.

 

At the end of day, I wouldn't care and it's just a car.

If my friends ever did this it would've been out pure innocence, they wouldn't have know it would scratch the paint as MikeekiM mentioned.

 

Its its light scratches, I'm sure you could buff it out. I mean, its kind of funny, but yet douchey lol. The way the car sits in the garage is one indicator to see if he cares for the car lol

My "friends" would be paying for an external "detailing" of the car after they removed all the foil.

Some friends of my daughter "TPed" trees around my house one night when she was in high school. They showed up on my IR security camera. I had them on ladders all next afternoon...

That was Vincent's car. He was getting it resprayed anyways. It's now a dark baby blueish color.
