Tint Prices
towards the end of last year I organized an GB for the UMW folks because I was getting quoted $200-250 for 3 windows in the Chicagoland area - which IMHO is absurd!
I finally got the prices down to:
$70 for 2 side windows
$100 for 3 windows (glass soft top)
$120 for 3 windows and hardtop
this was from a reputable tint shop using high quality product and a lifeitme guarantee.

Its not the size of the, its the difficulty. I have a really good friend who owns a tint shop and he said that of course the rear is a pain to tint. $110 to $150 is a good range. I would also ask what brand film they are using and ask to see a couple of cars to judge quality.
If you are patient and like a DIY project, invest $20 and try it yourself. The side windows are incredibly easy, they are flat front to back, and only a small curve top to bottom. Go to a local auto parts store and buy the tint, and the little pack with the squeegee and razor knife. Mix up some soapy water and have at it. Have a hair dryer handy. It took me about an hour to do both side windows, it didn't tackle the back window. Perfect? No, there are a few pin-sized bubbles. You wouldn't notice them unless I pointed them out. If all goes to hell and it fails, you wasted a whole $20. If you do a good job and are happy, you saved $100. I figure if mine start looking bad, I will spend another $20 to fix it, as I know how to do it now. I can replace it 5-6 times for the cost of what a tint shop charges. Just make sure to reverse the template you make on the windows so the tacky/sticky side is correct on each window, I screwed that up the first time.

On my ITR, I had the two fronts, two rears, and the back window for $130. That was with Llumar, which has little metal flakes that reflects heat better. I also did it at a reputable shop that does all of the cars at the BMW dealership across the street from them. Do not skimp on this or try to do it yourself. Pay the money to a good, reputable shop and let the pro's handle this.
The prices quoted seems right, pending the shop's quality of work.
