I am taking my car in the 18th to get some vandalizm taken care of. My car never got its spring cleaning! Now its been neglected for the past few weeks. I need to know what I should do before taking the car in.

I of course will wash the car! I am going to probably clay bar the passenger side of the car where lots of tree sap is. I will be taking the side S2000 and the front H off my car for it will be getting those parts taken care of.

Is there anything else that I should be doing. I would almost hope the rear window would get scratched so that it would be replaced!!!! Looks like its going in naked and im going to show them where the scratches are and that there should be no more when it comes out(I will be looking!).

Any tips?!

Car will get a detailing this Sunday hopefully....if not next week!

Make sure that the shop will be removing all moldings/door handles, etc. on the panels that are painted. If they are not planning on removing them, take them off yourself! Otherwise they will just tape up them up and you will have a paint edge which will eventually peel.

I would take pictures of your car before taking it in, just in case there is some damage while it is getting painted. Most reputable shops will take care of any damage, but you can never be too safe.

This shop is very good. Will remove all molding etc! They do Ferraris so they do it right! I will surely take pictures.
