I was at the track the other day testing my tire pressure with my expensive longacre. Friend of mine came over with a 10 dollar cheapy and wanted to see how close it was.

He read the exact same pressure I did.

My gauge is prettier though.

I will admit that the Longacre Racing tire gauges are on the "expensive" side.

Did your friend's gauge have a button to release air pressure?

If not, then that's a definite plus for the Longacre Racing one if you ask me.

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/tirega.htm

this is pretty much the standard guage.

its got two features that i think make it worth $25.

-pressure relief (drop the pressure and remeasure quickly. once you use it, you never want to go back to the conventional way.)
-ergonomic handle (cant find it other standard guages, it really does feel better, easier to push into the valve stem for a better reading)

the only thing it lacks is the "ULTIMATE" tire guage, that holds the pressure after youve released it from the valve stem.

Don't you also want a pump?
I mean.. what if you are a little low?
Or you want to add to see what it does?

I'm using a foot pump with a (calibrated) gauge.
