Default Tire pressure on new car

Newbie question here - just took delivery of my new 03 and noticed the tire pressure is at 43psi front, 38psi rear. Equal on both sides, almost like it was set that way from the factory. Book says 32psi cold, but what is the word? Sorry if the is a rehash - couldn't find an answer with search.

32 psi for sure man. the tech who did the PDI is an idiot. i personally like to have it set anywhere from 32-34 psi.

having the pressure too high is unsafe and can reduce traction when you really need it.

They may have set the pressure higher for shipping, since the car sits for a long time.

BTW, is there a reason you chose 6 sigma for your screen name?

A few members have figured out that inflating them to 36 psi will get you a few more thousand miles on the S-O2's, but traction will be lessened.

Mine were set to 32 when I took delivery of the car last year. I like 33 to 34. I like the way the car feels.

You have to check everything the dealer does.

When I took delivery of my S2000 the tire pressure was at 48psi all 4 tires (32psi is the correct pressure). Check to make sure they didn't leave the spring spacers.

I also took delivery of a Pilot this year. I got my family in the vehicle and went to start the vehicle. No Gas!

The PDI/Service Department at Showcase Honda in Phoenix, AZ are a bunch of morons.

I went home and set my at 35 all around.
Make sure u check it after having it sit for awhile, not right after a drive.

I keep mine inflated to 43psi year-round.

Also, make sure that the tires are cold and not in direct sunlight when you check them.
