Default Titanium shift knob scratched up

Good morning, I was wondering if there is anything i could do to fix a good amount of scratches on the knob. I believe most of them were caused when a local place was installing a new radio for me. If there isnt a way to fix it can i just sand it down a bit with like 300-600 grit sand paper and then polish it. Has anybody done this before. Thanks.

sand it down and bring it to your local body shop and ask them to "burn" it..

im not an expert on metals, but i think you'll need a pretty hefty torch to get the ideal purple-ish burn on titanium.

You could think about asking the shop that installed your radio and damaged it to buy you a new shift knob, after all If they damaged it why go to all the trouble If you can get them to buy a new one just an idea.

its a little bit hard to prove that they scratched the shift knob. I did think of that.
