Yeah, it's definitely more willing to stall. I haven't stalled it since I put the flywheel and clutch in, but I can feel it's more than willing to stall.

I haven't driven it in the rain yet.

A few things I have noticed - most people say it will be slower uphill. I haven't noticed that. Also, it SHOULD be noticably faster overall, but it's not really. Feels about the same, just more responsive and easier to double clutch and all. It really mostly helped the drivability of the car and gave it a better feel. But as for performance, I doubt I'd turn any faster 1/4 ET than before.

Since I have done the Toda Flywheel along with the ATS final mission at the same time. I can't tell how much Toda Flywheel is contributing. But yes I guess it can be more easier to stall(for others yes, but when I drive no). I don't know about uphill and in the rain but quicker deceleration is true but very subtle. So shifting can be little jerky like more head rocking.
But anyway I am more interested in hearing about the new Clutch, how does it perform?

The clutch performs well from what I've seen so far. Like I said on the page, I can't do any hard launches yet cuz it's not broken in yet. But just from driving around, it has a noticably better grab and you can feel that it will not let the disc slip when it's engaged. This really solves the problem with the stock setup. Stock, the clutch just doesn't have enough clamping force to hold the disc under a hard launch. So what you have is a launch that is very hard on the clutch to begin with and then the pressure plate doesn't grab hard enough, so you have lots of pressure on the disc, but it's still slipping and it TOTALLY overheats and melts everything (as you saw in my pictures). The stock clutch disc is of good material and well made. However, even with a stronger pressure plate, you want to make sure you don't overheat it. The pressure plate will help keep you from overheating, but not prevent it altogether, so be careful. The only way to totally prevent anything is to go with a puck disc. That's a bad solution as you will have lots of chatter, poor drivability, and it will wear through your flywheel VERY quickly. Also, it's MUCH harder on your transmission and it can and does lead to transmission failure.

Anyway, so the bottom line is, this is the best setup for a reliable street car that gets some track use.

BTW, peddle effort is perfect and the clutch has a nice engagement right in the middle of the peddle throw - perfect.

Let Derk at ACT know John sent ya!

I don't care who he is

I Laugh everytime I see SOHC Power.

it's funny shit. The great thing about opinions is, you can piss and moan all you want, but I will still laugh at you. I am sure something I may do, may also cause others to laugh at me too. And such is life.

Your friend speends $500 for a motor and $3000 grand for a super charger.

What a joke, spend $2-3 grand for a real motor and spend another $1-1.5k on mods and it would smoke your SC'd d-series while staying naturally aspirated.

SOHC=Economy not Power

you actually shouldn't have opened your mouth, cause you just made yourself sound more ignorant than you already appeared. Just by the numbers you pulled out of your ass, it is obvious you have no idea what you are talking about.

If you were trying to learn about building a motor, wouldn't it make sense to start with something cheaper? rather than paying $3500-$4000 (cause thats what they really cost) on a motor that you don't even know the condition/history of? I think you don't understand the point that its a learning experience. Of course I guess I could be like everyone else and buy a swap and put on bolt-ons! Wow! Not like a zillion people haven't done that already! how original. I mean how boring.

I shouldn't really bother to explain since I know you won't understand. It seems you are not really a car enthusiast, but one of those posers who buys the fanciest car and looks down upon everyone else. I hate those people.

keep laughin chucko, and enjoy your shiny car
