conused ? that depends. if it is your GF, she might just get used to it and you managed to create a new problem for yourself. If it is your wife, then thats even worse - she will get suspicious ... couple of days down the road, the guy in your rear mirror you can't loose might be a PI ....

flowers generally last 2x as long and look 2x better from a florist. I've gone both ways plenty of times.

I straight told my girlfriend not to expect flowers or gifts on a commercialist driven day of obligation. She'll get over it. Of course I treat her well all other 364 days of the year and actually buy her flowers when its not vday so if she gets mad, so be it.
