Default tonneau cover under warranty??

One of the clips on my tonneau cover broke off this weekend. The car is still under warranty, so I'm wondering if the cover applies to the contract as well.

Anyone have theirs replaced from the dealer?

Damnit it's a BOOT, it's NOT a tonneau cover. A BOOT covers the top, a TONNEAU COVER covers the whole cockpit (or whole bed of a pickup, etc). And yes it is covered under the 36/36 warranty because after all it's part of the car (comes with the car).

You are right, but kinda harsh on ICEMAN considering that alot of people make this mistake.

I apologize to Iceman. It's just that I see this used incorrectly so many times in this forum that after a while I get frustrated and feel compelled to vent about it.

If you mean one of the snaps, I had one replaced last year from my cover: one on the elastic strap. You just twist the top and bottom pieces apart, and then put on the new one and reverse the twisting motion. My dealer had no clue how to do this but I posted on this site and someone told me how to do it. Was a great help to me.

Good Luck!!

The thread holding one of the clips ripped off of my boot, rendering it useless. Good to know I can take it to the dealer for a replacement.
thanks.
