Default Tonneau covers

Has anyone taken a look at these before? I like how it contours nicely with the shape of the roll hoops. My concern would be storage if you needed to put the top up in an emergency like a rainstorm. It appears to be a solid piece, so no folding in half and throwing in the trunk. The fiberglass one comes unpainted. Anyone else want to share their thoughts and opinions?

Something like this showed up very early in the S2000 timeline. That one was painted red to match the rest of the car. It garnered a nickname ............... "BOOBS".

Sure... I think it's expensive, awkward, and gaudy. But then again... to someone else, it probably looks amazing.

So this type of cover has been written off as impractical? Hmmmm. Just when I was starting to want one.

I wouldn't go THAT far.

It seems like a very practical way to add unnecessary weight to your car, and remove $700 from your wallet

Yeah, if you put this on, you better be damn sure it's not going to rain or have a place to leave the cover if it does.

This one will only set you back $500 http://www.importfan.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=1783

I wish someone made and OEM replica with CF that was sectional. All the CF and fiberglass ones have that stupid stepped thing in the back. I think it would look alot better if it was rounded off in the back instead of having the pyramid look.

If I were to buy one it would be the fiberglass one, and then have a shop paint in black for me. I wouldn't spend the money on the CF one, since I wouldn't use it much. I don't think the additional weight of adding this to the car would be a big issue. I agree that the "step down" look is a bit odd, a rounded edge would be nice. I also wish they would create one with a fold in the middle so it could collapse in half for storage in the trunk. Just my thoughts.
