Default Too many miles for a new car?

I have a chance to buy a new '03 S2000. It has 35 miles on the

odometer. The mileage is from test drives. Is this too many

miles and if it was vtech'ed how much damage may have been

done?

Ehh.. 35 miles is OK.. not particularly wonderful, but it's not bad. Depends how much it costs. If it was VTECed, there wouldn't be much damage, if any. But most people (on the boards) follow the owner's manual and don't VTEC until after 600-1000 miles.

You could find a better price if you search around.

If you are in Ohio you should consider travelling to Ganley Honda and buying from Jeff aka Hardtopguy. I'm sure he can cut you a really sweet deal on a new 03 that has less miles and he has the best prices on accessories. Something to consider.

I'd compare the pricing of accessories at the dealership with what you can get off of handaaccessories.com. I'm planning on buying a brand new '03 sometime around the 4th of July, and the accessory prices that dealers have quoted me as "at cost" are often significantly higher than what I can get online. From what I've heard, installations are extremely easy and not worth the extra money to have the dealer do it. So I'm just buying a bone-stock, no-accessory '03 and adding just the accessories later.

don't get it man. you have no idea how it was driven. not only could the engine been abused, but also consider the transmission and rear differential. i would never buy a car thats been test driven. but keep in mind, that my brand new '03 with no test drives still had 16 miles on it(right off the truck). brand new s2k mileage varies greatly, some of them are test driven in japan to ensure quality control. don't accept anything higher than 20 miles.
